This web site provides information about Christopher Boots-Faubert, his writing, activities, and creative efforts both online and in print, as well as general information about the writer.

The site offers several categories of content. The public areas of the site are available without restriction for access, while the private areas of the site require an account log-in and password for access.

We hope that you will enjoy the site, and that you will find the information contained here helpful and interesting.

This site was designed, created, and is maintained by FDA Designs, and was created using several different software tools, including:

Most of the material on this site is protected by copyright and is not available in the public domain. Unless otherwise stated on the individual web page, or cited within the body of the text, image, or caption, you should assume that use of the item or text requires the written approval and permission of the artist or author.

Access Time -- Some pages on this site contain numerous images. The images provide necessary visual supplements for the text and enhance the visual appeal of the page. Pages have been developed to load text first.

Look and Feel -- The most current version of this website is Version 6.00 - the new website was created with a uniform, contemporary look that uses a hand-drawn computer circuit board and blue color scheme. The 2010 redesign carries the new look and feel to the majority of "public" pages as well as to many internal pages.

Links -- Links are provided to many external Web Sites as reference or supplemental material. External sites that are accessed by these links will launch a new browser session in a single, separate browser window. Each external site that is accessed will appear in this same browser window until the window is closed. Users are notified that when they click on a link that leads to a page stored and delivered from another site they are leaving Boots-Faubert.com, and we can not be responsible for the content, web surfing experience, or veracity of the information contained on said outside sites.

Fonts and Type Sizes -- Arial and variations of the Arial font are the default body font for this site; 12 point is the default size. All browsers allow users to select specific fonts and type sizes for display. Some users select large type sizes for ease of reading, or specific fonts for personal tastes. The text and layout should not be adversely affected by a user's selection of alternative fonts and type sizes.

Downloadable Documents -- Some documents are available on this site as downloadable files in Portable Document Format (pdf). These files can be viewed on computers equipped with recent versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free from Adobe's Web site (www.adobe.com).

Please be aware that there are some known issues with downloading PDF documents, particularly on Microsoft Windows operating systems, due to conflicting changes in the way in which Acrobat Reader and various browsers talk to one another. If you encounter problems of this sort, there is a simple work-around: if you right-click (Windows) or option-click (Macintosh) on the link, the entire file will be sent to your machine, and then you can open it off your own hard drive using Acrobat Reader.

Web Browsers -- This site conforms to the most recent HTML specifications, and can be viewed using any W3 compliant browser - which is to say all modern and most older browsers. This site will display best and fastest using Mozilla Firefox, and you will find that Firefox also offers a much safer surfing environment. Due to the very serious security risks inherent to Microsoft's Internet Explorer (MSIE), we strongly urge you to find a different browser if you are still using MSIE!

Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded online, free of charge, from the Mozilla Web site (www.mozilla.com). Installing Firefox is a simple and fast process, and includes the optional importing of links and bookmarks from your old browser. You will lose nothing in upgrading to Firefox, and gain added security and safety, so please give the suggestion some consideration.
