About Wine

In my younger days I made some very bad choices that were based on my tongue rather than the ratings in books and magazines that told me what wines I should like and love. They call that "serendipity" you know, and every day I am happy that in my youth I made that mistake.

When I talk to people about wine about 8 in 10 will say "I don't like wine it tastes (bitter / sour / too sweet / dry / bad / etc)." When I hear this I always reply - "You just have not tried the right wine yet; wine is not supposed to taste bad, in fact it is supposed to taste good! We just need to find the right wine for you!"

That wine doesn't taste good notion is just the tip of the iceberg. There are lots of false facts and myths relating to wine - especially Champagne and the Big Reds and I have made it my mission to educate the people I consider friends on the path to good wine habits. This page is a good place to start...

Remember: Wine is supposed to taste good.
